Mathieu Baker, Owner
Like his father, Kenneth Baker, Mathieu worked outside of Quebec for many years. After graduating from Massey-Vanier High School, Mathieu left Quebec for Mexico. He was 17 years old at the time. He planted trees in British Columbia, Yukon and the Northwest Territories for 7 consecutive planting seasons months while spending winters in the south. He also harvested grapes in France and picked oranges in Spain for two years. In addition, Mathieu studied Spanish and anthropology at the University of San Carlos - Quetzaltenango, the second most populous city of Guatemala. It stands to reason that he has mastered Spanish as well as French and English.
Mathieu received a diploma in thanatology in 2000 in Toronto, and then acquired extensive experience through his work in a prominent funeral home of the Canadian metropolis for three years. In 2004 at the age of twenty-eight, he finally settles in Bedford. With much enthusiasm and a wealth of new ideas he decides to devote himself entirely to the family settled business.
Years afield have made Mathieu a man who is aware of the importance of his family roots. He is a man who is attached to his origins and history; a man who values tradition while remaining open to change and innovation.
Mathieu focuses on the human aspect and the importance of communication as vital ingredients in his work. He is the fourth generation representative of a business that is firmly implanted in the area.

Nathalie takes care of the administrative side of the funeral home. Along with a love for figures, she displays qualities of organization, dedication and self-reliance. She can adapt to unforeseen events that the grieving period can bring, while showing compassion and sensitivity. Families can quickly find an answer to their questions with a simple call, thanks to her thorough knowledge in the field.
